Larry, Joan, Bruce, Mary,

I hope you all had a nice weekend. Here are my notes from the new student orientation meeting last week.

 

Book:

Kemmis- This Sovereign Land

 

Faculty seminar about the book at the end of July- send out seminar questions to students

 

Schedule:

See attached 

 

Duties:

Amy- planning team point person, contact John McGee about taking student photos, ask Cheryl to do intro, ask Cheryl to do learning communities time slot

Mary- logistics point person, check Governor’s availability, look into space scheduling options, meal forms, catering order (box lunches, morning coffee & munchies), work with Mike on hopes and fears session 

Joan- will contact Kitzhaber to check availability

Bruce-will contact Kemmis to check availability

Larry- talk with Ted about whether or not we want to continue holding our morning session of orientation with MES. Perhaps instead we could have a joint reception with MPA/MES/MIT? Held on the same day as orientation or a different day? 

 

Next meeting?- we did not schedule this. Are you all available on May 25th at 3:00pm?
